PURATOS MOIST'R CAKE RECIPES

Satin Moist’R Cake is a multi purpose cake mix that is rich, moist and versatile. This creme cake base can be used for muffins, loaf cakes and much more! If you want to produce a cake with a soft and moist texture, then Puratos Moist’R Cake is definitely one to try! Our good friends at Puratos have provided us a number of recipes using Moist’R Cake. No need to experiment! Puratos has all the recipes for you!

PURATOS MOIST’R RECIPES

The below recipes range in pastry type, flavour and size. Recipes such as Coffee Cake, Apple Cake and Pecan Spice have warm flavours that will be comforting during this chilly season. While flavours like Pineapple, Lemon Poppyseed and Blueberry are nice for the Spring and Summer Seasons to come. Moist’R Cake will not disappoint, so give these recipes a try.
COFFEE CAKE

Indulge in a terrific blend of soft cake with a mild but present coffee flavour. Add streusel on top to enhance the cake or have as is for a delightful cake.

INGREDIENTS GRAMS PERCENTAGE (%)
MOIST’R CAKE 1000 100
EGG 350 35
OIL 300 30
WATER 225 22.5
INSTANT COFFEE POWDER 7.5 0.75
  • Mix all ingredients except coffee powder together for 2 minute on slow speed, then 4-5 minutes on medium speed
  • Scrape bowl
  • Remove 20% of the batter and blend with Instant Coffee
  • Fill lined loaf pan with plain batter
  • Swirl coffee and plain batter together
  • Bake at 165ºC / 340ºF until done (baking time depends on product size / weight)
    450g cake will take approx. 45-50 min
APPLE CRUMB CAKE

Get ready for a delicious combination of apple and crumble in Puratos Moist’R Cake. Something for everyone to enjoy!

INGREDIENTS    GRAMS PERCENTAGE (%)
MOIST’R CAKE 5000 100
EGG 1750 35
OIL 1500 30
WATER 1125 22.5
TOPTIL DICED APPLE 425 8.5
CRUMBLE TOPPING
SUGAR 200
FLOUR 300
ROLLED OATS  100
CUBED BUTTER 200
CINNAMON 5
SALT 3

CRUMBLE

  • Combine dry ingredients
  • Add butter and mix until crumble holds together when compressed

CAKE

  • Combine cake , oil and eggs for 1 minute on slow speed, then 2 minutes on medium speed
  • Scrape bowl and mix for a further 2 minutes on medium speed
  • Spread layer of diced apple on top of cake batter before applying crumb topping
  • Bake at 165ºC / 340ºF until done (baking time depends on product size / weight)
PINEAPPLE BREAD

A little bit of pineapple is all you need to make your day a little better. The citrus of the pineapple mixed with the rich Moist’R Cake compliment each other perfectly.

MOIST’R CAKE 1000 100
EGG 350 35
OIL 300 30
CRUSHED PINEAPPLE 300 30
PINEAPPLE EMULSION (TO TASTE) 5 0.50
  • Place all ingredients in a pastry mixer
  • Mix 1 minute on slow speed, 4 minutes on medium speed
  • Bake at 350°F until internal temp reads 96°C (205°F)
  • Baking time depends on product weight
PECAN SPICE MUFFINS

Delight your taste buds with this Pecan Spice Muffin recipe. With medleys of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice. This muffin is warm, light and cozy.

EGG 350 35
OIL 300 30
WATER 225 22.5
MOLASSES 70 7
SPICES TO TASTE (CINNAMON, NUTMEG, GINGER, ALLSPICE) 15 1.5
CHOPPED PECAN 200 20

 

  • Place all ingredients in mixing bowl
  • Mix on slow speed for 1 minute and 5 minutes on medium speed
  • Bake at 350ºF to an internal temp of 96°C (204°F)
LEMON POPPYSEED LOAF

A classic flavour combination. Lemon with white cake and poppy seeds for texture. Moist’R Cake will enhance your favourite citrus loaf!

INGREDIENTS GRAMS PERCENTAGE (%)
MOIST’R CAKE 5000 100
EGG 1750 35
OIL 1500 30
WATER 1125 22.5
POPPY SEEDS 250 5
LEMON EMULSION 15 0.3
  • Mix all ingredients together for 2 min slow, 4 min medium speed
  • Scrape bowl and mix for a further 2 minutes on medium speed
  • Bake at 350 ºF until done (baking time depends on product size / weight)
BLUEBERRY MUFFIN

Prepare yourself for a simple, yet delicious blueberry muffin. With only one add in, this recipe stays natural with all the flavours.

INGREDIENTS GRAMS PERCENTAGE (%)
MOIST’R CAKE 5000 100
EGG 1750 35
OIL 1500 30
WATER 1000 20
FROZEN BLUEBERRIES 1000 20
  • Combine cake mix, water, eggs and oil for 1 minute on slow speed, then 2 minutes on medium speed
  • Scrape bowl and mix for a further 2 minutes on medium speed
  • Mix in frozen blueberries only until combined
  • Bake at 375ºF until done (baking time depends on product size / weight)- roughly 27-30 minutes
