What a wonderful end to the year! We had an amazing time baking these celebrity recipes and can’t wait to share our thoughts! A little recap to jog our memories:
- Ashley Tisdale’s Candy Cane Cookies
- Taylor Swift’s Chai Tea Cookies
- Danny Trejo’s Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies
- Mama Kelce’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Royal Palace’s Shortbread Cookies
- Snoop Dogg’s Peanut Butter Cookies
Let’s start off with some honourable mentions! First, we’d like to say that both these cookies we’re fun to make, as they aren’t your traditional chocolate chip cookie. They both ended up tasting good but some steps in the process lead to a cookie that cracked on the top. Ashley Tisdale’s and The Royal Palace’s cookies are definitely one to try, as they both held together nicely and tasted good. But in the end, they weren’t the right cookie for this competition.
Next, we have 3 cookies that caught the attention of our taste buds but didn’t quite take top place. These recipes belong to Taylor Swift, Danny Trejo and Mama Kelce. Each of these cookies were absolutely delicious. Taylors Chai cookies were perfectly spiced and not too sweet and we’d love to see this recipe with a chewier, denser cookie one day. Trejo knew exactly what we’d like and that bit of cayenne sugar really made a difference. A decadent chocolate with spice is such a great pairing, especially in a cookie. And lastly, Mama Kelce’s cookies. While these cookies were the perfect bit of soft and crunchy from the pecans. Letting the dough chill for so long really sweetened them up. Overall, these 3 cookies were pretty amazing and will be made again, maybe with a few adjustments to our liking but woah we’re these ever good.
Last but not least, Mr. Snoop Dogg! These peanut butter cookies took the top place, with many compliments and requests for more! A peanut butter cookie recipe seems quite simple compared to the others but they were absolutely delicious. Chewy but firm and had a little crunch along the edges. Lately cookies are made huge and have gooey centres but these were quite small and had the perfect bite. I cannot wait to make more of these cookies for everyone to enjoy.
